Our Story

Al & Georgina Valdez were both born and raised in Los Angeles, California. They have been married for 12 years and have 4 wonderful daughters. Georgina was born in a Christian home, while Al came from a broken family that was wrapped in the sins of addiction and turmoil. These two young lives crossed at a very early age on their school campus. Little did they know that they would spend their lives making a difference for Christ.

After receiving Christ in to their lives they were married and immediately followed the Lord into the work of the ministry. Their first assignment was to establish a work called the Victory Outreach Urban Training Center (UTC), in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1997. They packed up their 3 month old daughter and traveled cross country to establish a work that would train, equip and disciple young people for ministry. Today, thousands of young people have been trained for ministry and are actively involved in missionary work, worship, youth ministry, media ministry and pastors have been sent all over the world. Today there are now 4 UTC’s in Los Angeles, Bridgeport, CT, Tijuana, Mexico and CapeTown, South Africa.

After 6 years of living with students, they felt the call to sit under the leadership of Pastor Sonny Arguinzoni. The founder of Victory Outreach International. When they moved to San Diego, the church there was in a rebuilding phase. It totaled 200 people in attendance. Under the leadership of Pastor Sonny and Julie Arguinzoni, the church reached new heights. Today the church is approaching 1000 members and has launched out 5 churches in 6 years, including a church to El Salvador.

In 2008, Al & Georgina became the senior pastor’s of the fastest growing church in the Victory Outreach Movement and one of the fastest growing churches in San Diego.

As they look to the future, they are believing God for big things. “Our vision is to launch out a new church every year. We also want to make a powerful impact here in our city!”
